About Social Media tools
Every platform publishes its own preferred dimensions and then crops anything that does not match, usually from the centre and usually across the part you cared about. These presets start from the correct canvas for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X, so you position the image once and export something that will not be cropped on your behalf.
Two things worth knowing. Platforms re-compress what you upload regardless of quality, so uploading an enormous file gains nothing — matching the target dimensions is what preserves sharpness. And feed, story, and profile placements have different ratios on the same platform, so an image that fits one will still be cropped in another.
